On October 13 at 2 PM, we proudly opened the doors of Crossroads Ministry Center (CMC) to the community, and what a celebration it was! Over 100 people came through to tour the space, meet with staff and volunteers, and learn more about the vision that brought this center to life. It was exciting to see so many from our community who share in our mission and want to help us make CMC a welcoming, impactful space for local families.
Visitors were amazed by how far the space had come since the project’s early days. Many who saw it in its initial stages were inspired by the transformation and the warmth and purpose that now fill the rooms. Each space was designed with community, support, and growth in mind, and we were thrilled to finally share it with everyone.
At Crossroads Ministry Center, we’re committed to serving families in a variety of ways:
- Family Foundations Ministry: This core ministry offers a lifeline to foster and adoptive families, providing support groups, training sessions, material resources, and more to ensure families in our community have the resources they need to thrive.
- Small Groups and Fellowship Events: The center will also host small groups and gatherings, providing a welcoming environment for people to connect, build meaningful relationships, and grow in their faith together.
- Training and Development: The facility is equipped to host a variety of training sessions for volunteers and community members, from mentorship training to leadership workshops, to better equip our community for service and outreach.
- Community Events and Family Programs: From holiday celebrations to practical support programs, CMC will offer a full calendar of events aimed at bringing families together, building up individuals, and creating a stronger, more connected community.
Seeing so many friends and family come out to support the new center was truly inspiring. The open house reminded us just how much impact a community can have when it comes together with a common purpose. We can’t wait to see how CMC will serve as a beacon of hope, support, and connection for families in Shelby and beyond.
